The new update is a beta version.

Unfortunately I saw the bad reviews during the upgrade process and it was too late to stop Awful interface , hard to see , understand and operate + it respond really slow Piper you guys need to get you act together fast !!!

Was great. Was completely satisfied. Now the app has been updated (few weeks ago) and it no longer connects to the device so the camera is useless.

My first impression was that I liked the new app, but it seems when they cleaned up the design of the dashboard they made it difficult to find the features I use. #1 is the Home Vitals screen (my favorite feature) - now I need to tap around to find it, where it used to be one tap from the home screen. And it got smaller and still shows only the past 48 hours. #2 is Accessories - in the original version they were listed and controllable from the home screen, now I need to open the video to control them?? This makes no sense!!! I love my Piper but I want the old app back pleeeze !!!!

Upgraded to this new work Piper app and rendered my Piper useless!!

They have taken a very good app and turned it into an awful one. I can find anything. It took me fifteen minutes to figure out how to turn my light off and on and I only stumbled over it by accident. Instead of this useless change they could have given the app the ability to hold two Pipers in two locations without logging in and out, an actual useful function. The Piper is an excellent device but is terribly mismanaged...time for some new personnel who listen customers.

Total redesign of the app? Fire your app designer.

The recent update is poorly designed and counter intuitive. The older version was much easier to use and navigate. All the functions are still here but just stupidly "improved."

It won’t let me walk around the house without a notification which as far as the NEW APP is concerned is in DISARMED with all NOTIFICATIONS TURNED OFF This is not an upgrade its the software that could put you out of business FIX it OR return the Original APP Hundreds of push notifications and e-mails thank god it did let me turn off the phone calls! Not very happy in fact mad enough to comment here

I normally dont write reviews, but this "update" is horrible. I dont know why they took a product that was intuitive, informative and simple to use and "improve it" by hiding all the information behind tiny icons that are hard to see, read and make sense of. Also the iconms for arming/disarming the system are also tiny and the all look alike. On the old app, when you opened it, there was the control pannel with 4 options, the current status of all of the door/window monitors and remote light switches- now you have a picture just snapped of the room Piper is monitoring, totally invading your privacy, and you need to search for the tiny icon to get to the info on the devices. Take us back to the old app, please.

As others have complained the updated version is much worse than the old one. I really miss the "vacation" mode where I could turn everything on, and have the "away" mode for when we were just out for an hour or two. The new modes are confusing, I had to disable most alerts for when we were home, my trusted circle just started ignoring the false alarms. The colors are hard too see, the font is too small and the icons are confusing. Anyway to delete the new version and get the older one?

I loved the piper NV-until the latest app update-now the system disconnects while Im not home-the dashboard is less user friendly with less functionality but more stylish..Which Im sure is what they were going for-i dont know how to use the two way com anymore and it is so so so slow to load now-and lastly just try to get support..Its miserable..Piper please fix this or i want my $300 back

I dont mind the changes to the app as so many here do. I havent really ever used vacation mode so I dont miss it. My only issue is that Piper seems to lose connection quite a bit more often in this version. Quite a nuisance when youre standing at your front door waiting for the app to connect so you can walk inside without tripping the siren. Or worse, you forget to disarm before opening walking in, the siren goes off and theres nothing to do but unplug the thing and tear out the batteries. Please fix the bugs and Ill be a happy camper.

First, I think the new app design is ok. Yea, it took a while to figure it out but thats always the case with redesigns. Yea, the new icons are poorly designed-- hard to rell one from the other. Life. On the other hand, they fixed some bugs with the automation. Hurray. One thing that hasnt changed for me is extremely slow and super unreliable logins. Every time you want to use the system you get this minutes long delay. If youre not using IF, that means standing outside waiting 1 to 5 minutes before disarming. It means driving half way to work with the app up, waiting to log in so you can arm it. What up with that?

I wish I didnt do the upgrades because I am very disappointed. I hate the fact I have to keep re arming my security system...it needs to stay armed unless I tell it to disarm. I have it set to video with motion and it didnt when someone walked in the door...Big problem in my book

I really dislike the new update. It seems they wanted to make things MORE complicated! I wish I could get the old app back with the logical dashboard down at the bottom and the vacation mode back in place. That was more usefull when you have a dog at home in the away mode but not the vacation mode. Now theres only an away mode and you have to go in and change the rules depending on if your are merely away or on vacation. The indoor and outdoor temp. reading are difficult to see a lot of the time when they are superimposed on the video. Geeze...

Seriously? Decrease functionality with the update. No stats. Fewer modes. Why?!

I have an iPad with a lovely stand that allows it to rest on my desk in an easy to use way. So why does the iPad Piper app only display in portrait mode? Really?! Come on guys. Dont make me have to hold the device to use the app. 1-handed only works when you dont need to hold it with the other hand, and there are no iPad stands that keep it vertical. Needs a horizontal display mode.

I purchased the Piper for its ease of access and the simplicity of app maneuvering. I loved my Piper. That was then. This is now: the new app is so BAD that if its not quickly switched back to its original state, I will be quickly switching products. I dont normally write reviews but unless people line be frustrated over challenging and confusing apps, move on or DONT Update!!

Now I have frequent disconnects and app slowness. Overall disappointing
